Radico Khaitan Enjoined from Using ’KASHMYR’ Vodka Brand in Trademark Dispute
Radico Khaitan shares edged 0.91% higher to ₹2,996.40 in early trading despite a Karnal District Court injunction prohibiting use of its 'KASHMYR' vodka brand. The September 23 ruling found the mark deceptively similar to Piccadily Agro Industries' registered 'CASHMIR' and 'CASHMERE' trademarks.
Piccadily's stock gained 0.72% to ₹719.50 after disclosing the litigation, which involves competing luxury vodka products. The court order bars Radico Khaitan from manufacturing, selling, or advertising under the contested mark until final adjudication of Piccadily's 2025 commercial suit.
